An Easy Nutrient Boost
Chia seeds are a great way to incorporate more antioxidants and fiber to your diet. A tablespoon has 20% of your daily fiber intake and about 3 grams of omega 3 fatty acids. Chia is also gluten free.
I’ve only used chia seeds in my fruit smoothies but there are many others ways to enjoy them. For instance, Food & Wine’s website published a great article on nine ways to use Chia Seeds.
Cost & Where to Buy
You can pick up a bag of Chia Seeds in the natural food aisle of traditional grocery stores and almost every speciality food store now carries them. They’re on the pricey side and I find they tend to be a bit cheaper online.
